MARCELLA MAE (HATTRUP) HEEKE Marcella Mae (Hattrup) Heeke passed away on November 18, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born January 17, 1932 in Kinsley, Kansas to Mary Magdalen (Schmidt) and Bernard John (Ben J.) Hattrup. She attended Offerle schools through ninth grade, graduating from Windthorst High School in 1950. On April 24, 1951, she married Alfred Peter Heeke in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Windthorst, where they proudly worked and raised four children on the family farm. Prior to her marriage, she was a secretary at Roberts Tractor Company in Dodge City. During her years on the farm, she served as secretary to the Superintendent of Spearville Schools for 13 years, then secretary to the Bishop of Dodge City for 18 years. After retirement, they moved to Hays, Kansas in 1996 and then to Conroe, Texas in 2016. Preceding her in death were Alfred on July 22, 2017; her parents; infant brother, Bernard John Jr.; two sisters, Benita Bullock and Peggy Lee; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Heeke; brother-in-law, John Aumiller; brother-in-law, Leonard Durler; sister-in-law, Louise Downey; brother-in-law, Bernard Downey; and grandson, Kyle Heeke. Surviving are children, Theresa Davidson of Conroe, Texas; Daryl (Nan) Heeke of Taylor, Texas; Elaine (Albert) Rambaud of Conroe, Texas; and Ron Heeke of Montgomery, Texas; grandchildren Matt Davidson, Amanda (Adam) Davidson Zuch, Brian (Hailey) Heeke, Sean (Macy) Heeke, Kim (Pete) Taylor, Aimee Rambaud, Emilee Rambaud, Jayci (Willie) Stratton, and Josh Hamilton; sister, Linda (Joe) Strecker; brother-in-law, John Lee; sister-in-law, Evelyn Durler; sister-in-law, Julianna (Anthony) Durler; thirteen great-grandchildren; and much loved nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands, Texas at 10:00AM following a rosary at 9:30AM on December 15, 2023.
