Amanda Kay (Willemon) Swanson, 36, of Escanaba, MI, formerly of Sturgeon Bay and Aransas Pass, TX, died Sunday evening, July 5, 2015, at a local nursing home in Escanaba with family and friends by her side.

Born May 31, 1979, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of Mike and Nancee (Depner) Willemon. She attended school at Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay and graduated high school in Aransas Pass, TX. Class of 1998. Amanda worked at Christian Park Nursing Home in the activity programs in Escanaba. She enjoyed taking care of the older and the disabled people.

Amanda is survived by her son, Daniel Garza, Jr.; two daughters, Chloe and Kaydence Swanson, all of Escanaba; her parents; four sisters, Belinda (John) Valdez of Sturgeon Bay, Michelle D. (Rob) Meyer of Red Wing, MN, Michelle L. (Jon) Mann of Washington Island, Tellisah (Ron) Dominguez of Rockport, TX; aunts and uncles, Judy (Steve) Stache, Susie (Craig) Ireland, Mary (Bruce) Larson, Sharon "Smokey" (Rick) Metzner, Terry Degrave, Pat and Patty Willemon, all of Green Bay, Mike "Artie" (Debby) Depner of Forestville, Krissy (Paul) Leininger of Seymour, Donna (Carl) Depner of Pulaski, John (Mary) Willemon of Luxemburg, Toni (Jeff) Meyer of Sheboygan; and many cousins; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Tanya; her maternal grandparents, Norwood "Sonny" and Lois Depner; her paternal grandparents, Gilbert "Sonny" and Joyce Willemon.
