Albert H. (Al) Humburg, a resident of Ozark, met his Lord and Savior early Wednesday afternoon, May 16, 2018 at the home of his son, Chris surrounded by many loved ones and his precious fur babies, Posh and Lady. He was 92. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in Westlawn Memorial Park, Racine, WI. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of local arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 P.M. Saturday in Ozark and also, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 11:30 until 12:30 P.M. at Sturino Funeral Home, Racine, WI. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, 579 Bivins Dr., Ozark, AL 36360. Mr. Humburg, son of the late Walter Herbert Humburg and Anna Tuzinksi Humburg, was a native of Chicago, Illinois and moved to Ozark in 2000. On June 18, 1946 he married the true love of his life and mother of his children, Josephine Holler Humburg who passed away in March, 2018. Al was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corps. He served as the Commander of the American Legion in Riverview, FL and was a lifemember of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. As a young man, Al worked as an employee and also foreman of Passion Farms in Kenosha, WI and spent the majority of his life as a master carpenter. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Thoennes; a grandson, Darrell Gene "Butch" Mentink and a brother, Harold Humburg. Surviving relatives include his children, Kathy Murphy (Mike), Chuck Humburg (Shirley), all of Racine, WI, Chris Humburg (Denise), Ozark, AL and Randy Humburg (Shelley), Racine, WI; his sister, Doris Miller, Kenosha, WI; his brother, Howard Humburg(Barbara), Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Lisa Siltala, Stacy Young (Jeff), Jeff Gustin, Scott Gustin (Jess), Patti Gustin, Adam Humburg, Cindy Humburg, Andrea Winkler (David), Rhonda Humburg, Chelsei Nowling, Seth Nowling, Nicholas Humburg, Samantha Humburg, and Rebecca Humburg; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
