Lanier-Andler Funeral Home 8261 Highway 90 East Sneads, Florida 850-593-9900 Monroe was born in Chattahoochee, Florida on November 26, 1934 to John Daniel and Claudia Louise Campbell. The Lord took him home on August 22, 2016. He is preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, LaVone and Phillip Wilson. He is survived by his brother Murry and wife Marilyn and family; sister Claudia and husband Jimmy and family; his wife Diana, and three children: David Monroe and wife Julie and their children, Richard (Corrie), Victoria (Victer), and Baron, and Daniel Murray and children Anna and John Daniel. Also 3 great grandchildren; Xavier, Alexis and D.J. He entered the Navy in 1953 and became a hospital corpsman and 4 years later attended Multnomah School of the Bible. He was a commercial fisherman in Alaska while having a small church, and farmed after returning to Florida. He was also a great loving husband, a very caring father, and thoroughly enjoyed the grandkids. He loved the Lord deeply and was anxious for others to know the Lord personally too and gain that assurance of salvation. His favorite Bible verse was 2 Corinthians 5:21 which expresses the depth of God's love and forgiveness. He was active at Circle Hill Baptist Church, and we are indebted to Pastor John and Judy and the whole church family for their love and caring expressed so completely during his illness. Monroe had a heart for missions. In lieu of flowers, those who wish could make donations to Wycliffe Bible Translators, at Wycliffe.org or PO Box 626200, Orlando, Florida, 32862-8200. Visitation with the family will take place Saturday, August 27, 2016, from 2:00 until 3:00 PM CDT, at Circle Hill Baptist Church in Sneads, Florida, followed by his Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 PM CDT with Rev.
