Mrs. Ashley Renee Vance Starling, 22, of Ozark, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at her parents home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be Tuesday in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark at 2:30 p.m. with Revs. Al Loper and Dewayne Watson, officiating. Interment will follow in Universalist Cemetery in Ariton, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the Funeral Home Chapel from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Mrs. Starling was born May 12, 1985, in Ozark where she was a member of the class of 2003 at Carroll High School. She has worked at Wendy's, and was working at Inland Travel Center in Ozark when she became disabled. Renee was attending Mt. Sinai Holiness Tabernacle in Dothan. She has fought her illness courageously for the past three and a half years.
Survivors include her husband, Harmon Starling, of Ozark; a daughter, Naomi Desirae Halford, of Ozark; two stepdaughters, Cheyenne Marie and Chelsie Marie Starling, both of Ozark; her father and mother, Huey Lee and Cynthia Lynn Giles Vance, of Ozark; maternal grandparents, Rev. Ray E. and Cherry Earles Giles, of Troy; maternal great-grandmother, Susan Alice Earles, of Troy; paternal grand parents, Dalton and Nellie Willis, of Ozark; a sister and brother-in-law, Tracy Lynn and husband, William Dale Boynton, of Ozark; a brother, Joseph Vance, of Ozark; a niece, Julia Cheyenne Boynton, of Ozark.
The pallbearers will be Terry Vance, Daniel Vance, Dale Giles, William Starling, Greg Starling and Hank Stratton.
