Brittany Hutt Hurst was born in Dothan, AL on July 4th 1987 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center and passed on April 8th 2016 at home with her Husband and family by her side. She leaves behind her husband Brandon and their two dogs Bear and Lewis, parents Kevin and Sharon Hutt, her grandfather Mallory Shores, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. From the time Brittany was born she was always smiling and loving life. Her parents, Sharon and Kevin, raised her to respect everyone and to love all things deeply. People everywhere constantly talked about what a joy Brittany was to be around at all stages of her life. Her father worked countless hours so that Brittany and her mother could have the best of things. Brittany and Sharon travelled together to over 30 states running in marathons and enjoying all the sights of the different cities. Brittany's love for people and animals was only overshadowed by her love for life. All that can be said about Brittany is SHE LOVED. She loved waking up every single day, even in some of the worst of times, and she loved sunrises almost as much as she loved sunsets. She loved being a July 4th baby and always loved fireworks and celebrations at the beach. Thanks to her parents, she spent many of her birthdays on the beach and eventually met her husband there. If she could have been on the beach every day she would have, and especially loved relaxing and eating on 30A. In Brittany's final weeks on earth she wanted nothing more than to have her toes in the sand and as a family we were able to make that wish come true. She loved her husband, family, and friends so much and so hard it made them love her more. Brittany loved her dogs Bear and Lewis just like they were kids, and most kids would have wanted to be her dogs. She loved Starbucks so much and couldn't fathom why Dothan didn't have a standalone store. She also loved Chick-fil-a and their lemonade. Brittany also had a bit of a sweet tooth, she said she got it from her dad, and her favorite treat was cupcakes. She loved her trips to Target with her mom and all the conversations they had. Brittany was so thankful for her St. Columba church family and all the other churches locally and worldwide that supported her during our journey. She was thankful for her care taker, Brandon, who along with her parents, Kevin and Sharon, provided loving care and support. Brittany asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local humane society, Pilots for Christ, or Ovarian cancer research.
