Mr. Trawick will always be missed and remembered. The first time I met him was when I stopped to ask for directions in Dothan. After that I had a friend for life and knew where to find the best boiled peanuts! He had a great memory and a wonderful personality that kept people returning to visit with him. I remember that he was born on a leap year, Feb. 29, and that seemed to keep him forever young at heart. My condolences to Mr. Trawick's family and friends.

Daddy, I hope that now you are finally resting. You worked very hard all of your life even when you were sick. You were a good person and dad. I know that you are walking with the LORD now. I will always miss you but you will never be forgotton. Love always, your baby girl.

I travel 5 states on business, and when in Dothan would often stop and buy peanuts from, and visit with Mr. Trawick. Whenever we were headed to the beach, we would stop and stock up for several days. He was always a pleasure to talk to and his peanuts were the best! Mr. Trawick was a Dothan institution. My condolences to his family, a lot of people, many of whom you never met, are going to miss him. I will think about him every time I turn that corner!

To Mr. Trawick's family:
Dothan not only lost an icon, but also a good friend to all with Mr. Byron's passing. His boiled peanuts were the best in this area. He was very much loved and will be missed by all.

My kids and I loved to visit Mr. Trawick, the Peanut Man; from the time they were small until they were grown up we would stop by and buy peanuts and talk with him for a little while. He was a special man with a sweet spirit and he will be missed by so many people.

I remember when I used to come over there with my mom to buy boiled peanuts and we would just sit there and talk to you. Talking about the weather and things like that.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Trawick. I will fondly remember him as being so kind and friendly. My daughter & I were regular customers of Mr. Byrons for over 10-12 years. He always sent an extra bag of peanuts to her if she wasn't with me when I stopped to see him. Dothan will not be the same without Mr. Trawicks tasty peanuts and his sweet kind spirit.
