Cleo Brown Slater Cleo Brown Slater, 97 of Graceville, FL, passed away September 8, 2013, at the Campbelton Graceville Hospital. Mrs Cleo Brown Slater was the daughter of the late Jonathan Hiram and Emma Miller Brown. She was a lifetime resident of Graceville Fl., a member of the Damascus Baptist Church and was retired from Gold Kist. She was an avid homemaker, who loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 1-2:00 P.M. and a funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at the Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Williams Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted by the family or donantions can be made to a charity of choice. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert H. Slater; two sisters, Bonnie Condrey and Imogene Blauser; two brothers, Johnny and LeRoy Brown and grandchild Bobby Ellis, and great-grandchild Cole Ellis. Survivors include her sons James Earl Slater and wife Dinah from Winter Haven, FL, Edward Slater of Pensacola; daughters, Frances Ellis and husband Bob of Phenix City, AL, Myrle Morrow from Montogomery, AL; sisters, Louise Shouppe and Loreta Scurlock both from Graceville, FL; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
