Darryl Bond Obituary

Darryl Craig Bond Darryl "Craig" Bond, of Midland City, passed away May 1, 2018 at a Birmingham hospital. He was 64. Funeral services will be held 4 pm Thursday May 3, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Littlefield and Bro. Thomas Harrison officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Craig was born on January 26, 1954 in Houston County and lived in Midland City for the past 35 years. He was employed with Cox Pools of the Southeast, where he served as a construction foreman, for 43 years until his retirement in 2016. Craig was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his wife at Saint John's River in DeLand, Florida. They found that fishing on the boat was very relaxing and enjoyed each other's company. Craig attended Harpers Joy Assembly of God Church in Cottonwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Bond; his sister, Shauna Maxwell; and his brother, Bruce Bond. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Paula Bond; his children, Michael Craig (Amy) Bond and Paula Michelle Bond Everett; his grandchildren, Jared Bond, Noah Bond, Madelyn Bond and Aliyah Everett; his sisters, Stacey Bond Skipper, Melody (Tim) Bond Johnson and Krystal (Dennis) Bond Cosby; and several nieces and nephews.
