Harold Tyus Obituary
Reverend Harold Lloyd Tyus, age 89, passed away Monday evening, November 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Two Egg, Florida on April 25,1932 and was a resident of Dothan, Alabama since 1985.
Harold was a Credentialed Minister with the Assemblies of God for 72 years and was Ordained for 65 years. Family and service to his church were his love and passion. He was an avid reader and loved the Word of God.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Tyus and Sally Cloud Tyus, five sisters, and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara Stevens Tyus, son, Bing Tyus (Debbie) of Lake Wales, Florida; daughter, Lomell Taylor (David) of Graceville, Florida; son, Max Tyus (Regina) of Pierson, Florida; grandsons, Jeremy Tyus and Shane Taylor, granddaughters, Emily Stegall, Tyla Tyus and Beth Davis, four great-grandchildren, Hannah and Gavin Stegall, and Henley and Cora Tyus, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27, at 1 P.M. (CST) at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Fernandez and Reverend John Holly officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. (CST) in the chapel. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

I just found out about brother Tyus in today's paper (Read it at 5pm). I am so sorry to have missed the visitation and service. I really loved seeing you at church and missed you so much

Reverend Harold Tyus was an inspiration to so many. I will always remember my Uncle as welcoming and with a warm heart. May the family find comfort in the beautiful memories that will always be with them.
