Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, from the Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Larry Doster and Boyd Hartzog officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8.
Mr. Akridge was born Jan. 19, 1925, in Coffee County, to the late Tallie and Elizabeth Blackmon Akridge. He was retired from DynCor.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Juanita Tyler Akridge, Enterprise; one daughter, Phillis Dixon (Michael), Enterprise; one grandson, Alan Dixon, Enterprise; two nieces, Betty Kirkland, Enterprise and Carolyn Maddox, Daleville; one nephew, Kenneth Akridge, Houston.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise, (334) 347-9598, is in charge of arrangements.
