James Jimmerson Obituary

Memorial services for Mr. James Richard "Ricky" Jimmerson, age 65, of Clayton, will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 2 P.M. from Kent Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services, from 1 until 2 p.m. Rev. Tommy Huff will officiate with Kent Funeral Home directing. Ricky died Sunday, October 16, in Bonifay, FL, after a sudden illness. Born August 17, 1951 Ricky was one of ten children born to Grady and Maudie Baxley Jimmerson. He lived all of his life in the Barbour County area. He worked construction and was currently working in Texas. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Lavon Jimmerson, Janice Woodham and Jean Taylor, his wife, Connie Jimmerson, two brothers-in-law, Roscoe Taylor and Bryant McConnell, and two sisters-in-law, Susan Jimmerson and Barbara Jimmerson. Survivors include a son, Chad Jimmerson, Arkansas; two daughters, Jessica (Denny) Wilson and Angela Faye Hollingsworth, all of Dothan; four sisters, Pat McConnell, Opelika, Laura Davenport, Midland City, Diane Fillingim, Dothan and Sue (Dennis) Greene, Phenix City; two brothers, Charles Jimmerson, Cowarts and Bobby Jimmerson, Clayton; a brother-in-law, Mac Woodham, Dothan; three grandchildren, Taylor and Jacob Costello and Hannah Elizabeth Parker.
