Jamie Lawrence Ayers of Black passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at his residence. He was 74. In keeping with his wishes, his family will hold a private memorial service in his honor at a later date. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Vadas Burch Ayers. Survivors include his wife, Martha Aughtman Ayers; his daughter, Robin Frost (Roger); grandson, Lucas Ayers (Dawn); two great-grandchildren, Lexi Helms and Levi Helms; one sister, Shirley Watkins (Paul); one brother, Stephen Ayers (Cathy); one brother-in-law, Buddy Aughtman (Joan); twelve nieces and nephews.
