Ms. Jeanette Outlaw passed away Friday, August 14th after an extended battle with lung cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cooper Totten officiating. Burial will follow in the Echo United Methodist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11:30 A.M. on Monday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Jeanette was born and raised in Echo, Alabama. She settled in Dothan and had a long career with Piggly Wiggly, Mac's Market, and Rainbow Food Stores before starting her own restaurant, which operated for 21 years. Jeanette is predeceased by her father, Comer Lee Ammons and mother, Mary Kathleen (Watson) Ammons, both of Echo. Jeanette is survived by son Alan (Theresa) Eddy of Dothan, daughter Janice Taylor of Malvern and grandchildren Richard Woodall and Angela Adkinson of Dothan, sisters Cheryl Kelly, Sarah Haddan and brother Earl Ammons; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
