Mr. Jimmy D. Nichols, a resident of Ozark, Ala., passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, Jan. 26, 2006, at Dale Medical Center in Ozark. He was 59.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today from Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Andrews officiating. Interment with masonic honors will follow in Southside Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 904 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36303

I don't remember not knowing Jimmy. He was a good friend to me. I went back to school at age 43 because of his incouragement and telling me that I can do it. I am here working in Iraq doing what I love because of him. My prayers go out to everyone who loved him.
