Jordan Brabham Jordan Brabham, age 17 of Louisville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 7, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2014 in the auditorium of G.W. Long High School in Skipperville. Rev. Kenneth Andrews will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, August 9th, at Keahey Funeral Home in Clio. Interment will follow in Sykes Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio officiating. It was Jordan's request that flowers not be sent but monetary contributions be made to Molly Johnson, cancer survivor of Skipperville. She is survived by her loving mother, Anissa Ivey, Louisville Her loving father and step mother, Danny & Amy Brabham, Baker Hill Two brothers, Joshua and Parker Brabham, Baker Hill Maternal grandmother, Barbara Carpenter And grandfather "Pappa Joe" Joe Baxter, both of Louisville Great grandmother, Joyce Carpenter, Louisville Aunts and Uncles, Amy & Stephen Finley, Jacksonville, AL Clay& Michelle Dansby, Blue Springs Steve& Linda Brabham, Montgomery Nancy & Randy Capps, Dothan She was preceded in death by her great grandfather, Dekalb Carpenter, who the family described Jordan"as the carbon copy of". Paternal grandparents, Frank & Agnes Brabham. Jordan had a countless number of friends, her closest and most special being, Alli Bush, Mallory Portz and Kelsey Ristau. Jordan had attended G.W. Long High School and was starting her senior year this coming week. She had played on the G.W. Long girl's softball team since 7th grade and would have played her senior year. She usually played as "catcher". She had made the girl's basketball team and planned to have basketball also during her senior year. She excelled academically and athletically. She was a member of the school's Impact Club and Senior Beta Club. She loved life. Her family and friends described her as "the life of the party". She loved to tell jokes and see others laugh. She would tell a joke and remain quiet and watch other laugh heartedly. Jordan had an exuberant laugh. She was sweet, compassion and always praising and complimenting others. She loved babies and loved to baby sit for others. She aspired and dreamed of attending Auburn University, being inducted into an Auburn sorority. To honor Jordan's life and her request, all in attendance for her services to not wear black, to wear bright colored clothing to celebrate life.
