Lorie Lynn Cherry Wallace Lorie Lynn Cherry Wallace, age 41, of Hartford, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Born August 14, 1972 in Dothan to the late Eddie Glenn Cherry and Norma Jean Adaway Cherry, Lorie was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She loved arts and crafts, especially scrapbooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Glenn Cherry; her maternal grandparents, Norman L. Adaway, Sr. and Dorothy L. Adaway; and her paternal grandmother, Rubye G. Cherry. Survivors include her husband, Sammy E. Cotton; her son, Jamie E. Wallace; her step-sons, Zane and Donovan Cotton; her mother, Norma J. Adaway Cherry; her brother, Eddie E. Cherry (Barbara); her nieces, Jayla Alexander and Rubye Cherry; her nephews, William Cherry and Brantley Rice; special friends, Shannon Andrews, Tasha Orlando, Kay McBride, and the Wicksburg Class of 1990. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ricky Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Selma Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM service time, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lorie Cherry Wallace Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
