Funeral services will be today, Nov. 14, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Donalsonville with Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Jernigan was born in Baxley, Ga., on Jan. 16, 1921, to the late Morgan and Annie Sharpe Summerall. She was married to Woodrow Jernigan, who preceded her in death in 1979. She had lived in this area for the past 60 years, was a member of First Baptist Church and also the Jubilees. She will be remembered by many as having worked at Davis' Jewelers for many years. She always had a loving smile and pleasing personality and will be missed by all her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Steve Jernigan and wife Carolyn of Dothan and Rick Jernigan and wife Sandi of Cummings, Ga.; two daughters, Sharon Miller and husband Gerald of Donalsonville and Glenda Jernigan of Point Reyes, Calif.; one brother, Clifton Summerall of Austell, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Vince, Ashley, John, Angie, Jafas, Saga, Eyon and Tela; two great-grandchildren, Parker Jernigan and Nola Finey also survive.
Pallbearers will be Vince Jernigan, Alex Jernigan, Trowel Jernigan, John Miller, Clifton Summerall Jr. and Alford Herring.
