Mary Volf Obituary

Mary Robinson Volf, a resident of County Road 29, Abbeville, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 21, 2007, in a Dothan hospital. She was 86.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Quincey and Bill Hassell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, c/o Henry Reynolds, 3945 County Road 40, Newville, AL 36353.
Mrs. Volf was a lifelong resident of Henry County, near Abbeville, daughter of the late Henry Cleveland Robinson and Mary Elizabeth Murphy Robinson. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Volf was formerly employed by WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Victor Volf; a son, Larry Volf; a grandson, Brian Volf; a sister, Doris Robinson Belcher; and a brother, Grady Robinson.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Joyce McCoy and husband, Louie McCoy, Abbeville, Judy Carroll and husband, Gil Carroll, Clopton; a son, Jerry Volf and wife, Debbie Volf, Abbeville; three sisters, Nora Lee Holmes Johnson, Annie Mae Holmes and Mittie Reynolds, all of Abbeville; a brother, John Henry Robinson and wife, Ann Robinson, Abbeville; six grandchildren, Terry Volf and wife, Pam Volf, Denise Culpepper and husband, Everett Culpepper, Tiffany Bond and husband, Alan Bond, Shane Volf, Blake Volf and Keisha Carroll; eight great-grandchildren.
Holman-Abbeville Mortuary, (334) 585-5261, is in charge of arrangements.
