William Jordan Obituary

Mr. William Richard Jordan of 1012 W. Kelly Ave., Geneva, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at his residence after a long illness. He was 76.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Jan. 4, from the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Jordan was born Aug. 15, 1929, to the late John W. and Margaret L. Smith Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a retired textile employee with the Clinton Mills in Geneva.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Joy Jordan; and one brother, Hubert Jordan.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Mae Jordan of Geneva; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr.William Richie and Vickie Jordan of Smith, and Billy Ray and Tracy Jordan of Hoover; one sister, Margaret Yvone Spears of Samson; one brother, Jessie F. Jordan of Geneva; three grandchildren, Brian Kevin Jordan of Columbus, Ga., Niki and Matthew Johnson of Hoover; one great-grandchild, Brian Edward Jordan of Columbus, Ga.

Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva, (334) 684-2600, is in charge of arrangements.
