Irene Mihm Obituary
Nina was a force of nature ever since she was a little girl. She was a crowned beauty queen who wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty on the family farm. She had an affinity for hard to tame horses, barrel racing, tractor pulling, & hunting with her father.
She met her beloved husband, Dr Gary J Mihm while attending the University of Marquette. Gary got her on the tennis court where she naturally & quickly excelled and would become the first woman on the Men's Marquette tennis team. Her love of the game continued and she made many life-time friends in the tennis world.
Nina was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her two children Chris & Jessica, and embraced every moment she had with them to the fullest. Whether that was being Chris's number one basketball fan or traveling near & far to visit Jessica in different countries, she was always making beautiful memories with her kids.
Art was always one of her biggest passions. She was a well-known and respected artist & teacher in central Texas. She could truly do it all, but found her passion in mixed media collage. Nina said that her inspiration came from the local Hill Country and Mother Nature. Her beautiful pieces can be found in private collections & homes in both the USA and Europe. Nina loved her retirement years with Gary on their Hill Country ranch surrounded by dogs, longhorns, wildflowers, friends and family.
Nina passed away on January 16, 2023. Her Celebration of Life will be held in Austin, Texas at Barton Creek Country Club & Resort on Feb 26th from 2:00pm-5:00pm in the Darrell K. Royal Ballroom.

Sincere condolences to the family. She and I were members in SLMM. I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person, but have seen her work through our organization. God has received a truly gifted soul. Blessings to the family.
