Lisa Marie Wilson, 62, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 13, 1963, in Bessemer, Alabama, Lisa moved with her family to Austin in 1970 and became a lifelong Texan. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to others left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her. A proud graduate of Southwest Texas State, Lisa was a member of the university's Strutters drill team, continuing a passion for dance and performance that began with the Tex-Anns drill team at Crockett High School. She went on to dedicate more than 20 years of her life to the classroom, enriching the lives of countless students across five different school districts in Texas. She was not just an educator, but a mentor-shaping young minds with her wisdom and nurturing them with her compassion. Her belief in the potential of every child left a lasting impact on generations of students, colleagues, and families. Lisa retired from Dripping Springs ISD, where her dedication to teaching and her gentle strength were cherished by all who knew her. Beyond her professional life, Lisa was a charter member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church for over 40 years, where the congregation enriched her life in countless ways and provided a constant source of strength, comfort, and connection. She was a woman of deep integrity and quiet strength, whose generosity, humility, and empathy touched everyone she encountered. Lisa found great joy in the everyday rhythms of life-being a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend; cheering on her children as a proud sports mom; tutoring students in her spare time; or simply spending time outdoors. She was an avid jogger and walker, a regular at the Dripping Springs YMCA, and a passionate gardener who found peace and purpose in tending to her plants. She also loved to shop, dance, and share laughter with those she loved. Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Paul Wilson; her children, Molly Wilson and Jake Wilson (Caitlyn); her siblings, Wendy Davis, Scott Davis (Becky), and Ginger Jarosek (Joe); and her beloved dog, Woody. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Hughen (Jim), and father, Cliff Davis. Lisa's presence brought warmth and steadiness to every room she entered. Her love was fierce and unwavering-expressed through small, consistent acts of care that left deep, lasting impressions. Her greatest joy was her family-the people to whom she gave her whole heart and who will miss her beyond measure. Lisa's life was a testament to grace, dedication, and love-a light that will continue to shine in the lives of all she touched.
