Elizabeth Beizer Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Beizer of Naples, Fl and Little Compton, RI passed away from natural causes on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at age 96. Betty grew up in East Providence, RI with her parents Walter Dexter Brownell and Dorothy Drowne Brownell and sister Dorrie Everett Nichols. She graduated from East Providence High School and Pembroke at Brown University where she met her future husband, Herbert Beizer. They enjoyed singing, traveling, and summers sailing on "The Adventure" schooner out of Maine. Betty worked in Boston as a secretary and married Herb in 1954 moving to Connecticut. They had two children, Suzanne and Sarah. Betty and her family resided in Delran, NJ; Palatine, IL; Vestavia Hills, AL; Cranston and Warwick, RI; and retired to Naples, FL spending summers in Little Compton, RI.



Betty was an active volunteer all her life. She donated her time to organizations including Toys for Tots and the Southern Regional Opera. Betty started and ran a water exercise class with her best friend at WTC for 10 years.



Betty was an exceptional friend and mother. Her kindness and graciousness was appreciated by all who met her.



Betty is predeceased by her beloved husband, Herbert who died of PSP in 1998. She is survived by her daughters Suzie Beizer and Sarah Levy (Sarah's husband Joshua Levy); grandchildren Aaron, Samantha, and Hope.
