He later started his own residential and commercial cleaning business while pursuing and completing his GED at East Providence High School and later received an accounting certification from the Nasson Institute in East Providence.
Frank was an extremely hard worker who enjoyed keeping busy. He took great pride in landscaping his yard for hours at a time, watching Patriots football, and listening to a variety of music. He loved to travel before becoming ill, especially the Madeira Islands in Portugal where his family was from. He would often talk about his time spent there with such happiness and pride. He also cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially during the holidays. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a huge sweet tooth, and such a wonderful bright smile. Frank was always ready to dance with his family at various gatherings especially if "We are Family" came on.
He also was a dedicated member of the Portsmouth Senior Chorus for over 5 years singing at various nursing homes and churches. He enjoyed volunteering at the Thrift Shop and holiday bazaars as well at the Portsmouth Senior Center.
Most importantly, Frank was a loving husband, supportive Dad and proud Vovo(grandfather) who would do anything for his family. His greatest joy was being a dad and a grandfather.
He touched the lives of so many people and brought many a smile and a laugh during his lifetime and will be so deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his family. We will especially miss his various holiday cards throughout the year he would faithfully send us all signed with lots of XOXO's.
On behalf of Frank, we would like to thank our family and friends who showed him unconditional support during his long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
We would also like to thank the staff at Dawn Hill Nursing Home for all the loving and attentive care they provided. We would also like to recognize Hope Health Hospice Health of RI for ensuring that Frank received the necessary care needed and for offering their emotional support to his family.
