Mary Bradfield Obituary

Mary Delores Marshall Bradfield, 93, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was the wife of the late John W. Bradfield until his passing in December of 2014.

Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Donatilla (Soares) and Frank C. Santos. She was especially proud of being a "Leap Year" baby.

Delores graduated from Hope High School in Providence in 1950 and went on to work as a Medical Transcriptionist at Miriam Hospital for many years. Delores cherished time spent with family and was known for her warm heart and culinary talents-her chicken soup, in particular, will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Cheryl Carrier, Brenda Dziedzic (John), Steven Marshall (Mary), Kenneth Marshall, Sr. (Christine); her grandchildren: Alyssa Martin, Julie Silva, Jason Dziedzic (Michaella), Kristen Toole (Ryan), Anthony Marshall, Kenneth Marshall, Jr., Makenzie Marshall, Amanda Marshall; her great grandchildren: Delaney, Gianna, Daxton, Giovanni, Emerson, Owen, Liliana, Liam, Jaylyn, Xavier; her sister: Olga Rodrigues; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank C. and Donatilla (Soares) Santos; her husbands, Anthony J. Marshall and John W. Bradfield; and her son-in-law, Peter Carrier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 2, 2025. She will be late to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol.
