Robert A. Camara

Tiverton Resident & Veteran |Robert Anthony Camara, 85, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, passed away on July 1, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of fifty-two years to Leah (Rousseau) Camara. Robert was born in Tiverton the son of the late Arthur and Belmeida (Cotta) Camara. Robert proudly served our country in the United States Army Reserves from 1961-1964. For nearly sixty years he owned and operated RAC Construction Custom Builders. He was a well respected carpenter for both residential and commercial properties. Mr. Camara leaves behind a lifelong legacy of his fine craftsmanship.

In addition to his business, he laid a strong foundation for his family. He was the father to the late Kevin Robert Camara. He is also survived by his daughter Lisa Pieri and her husband Patrick of Tiverton, and sons Robert A. Camara Jr. and his wife Alison and James Norris and his wife Shannon all of Little Compton. He leaves behind four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister Annette (Camara) Foltz. He is predeceased in death by his siblings Barbara (Camara) Lopes and Raymond Camara. Relatives and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Robert's life on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10am in Saint Theresa's Church 265 Stafford Road, Tiverton with Military Honors to follow after the Mass.
