AARON PAUL AVIANI It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Aaron Paul Aviani. Aaron was born at San Francisco Childrens Hospital on 08/20/73 to parents Bob and Kay Aviani. Aaron grew up in the San Mateo Highlands and attend Highlands Elementary, Borel Middle School, Aragon High School and Canada College where he received his Associate degree in Liberal Studies in 1995. Aaron then attended the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville where he received his massage therapy training. He was certified in massage therapy and as an athletic trainer. Aaron ultimately moved to South Carolina and dedicated his life to sports therapy. Aaron was working with the Gamecock student-athletes at the University of South Carolina and also ran his own professional massage clinic 'Top Performance Therapy' at Personally Fit Gym in Columbia , S.C. Aaron attend school and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training at the University of South Carolina in 2000. He also earned a NASPE scholarship at the University of South Carolina. Aaron was ethical, supportive and a solid human being who loved helping others. He traveled all over the world with both the University of South Carolina track team and his personal clients because he loved everything about the sport of track & field. He took pride in the success of his clients. Aaron loved knowing that he was a part of helping each individual give their best performance possible so they could succeed to the top of their ability. One of his many highlights during his life included working with Allen Johnson on a regular basis and traveling with him to the 2004 Olympics. Aaron also worked with many other sports at the University of South Carolina including football and basketball. Among other things Aaron enjoyed snow boarding, skim boarding, baseball and soccer. Aaron leaves behind his loving parents Bob and Kay Aviani, his devoted sister Adine (Aviani) Caffas, Brother-in-law Mark Caffas, nephew Dylan Caffas and grandmother Bee Ilch. Aaron's family and friends miss him more then words can say. A Rosary will be said at Sneider Sullivan & O'Connell Funeral Home in San Mateo, CA @ 7:30 pm on Thursday 11/29. A mass will be held at St Gregory's Church in San Mateo, CA @ 10:00 am on Friday 11/30. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Aaron's memory to South Carolina Athletic Training Student Association c/o University of South Carolina, 218 Blatt PE Center, Columbia, SC 29208. Aaron will be missed by all those who were able to spend any amount of time with him. He was such a warm, kind hearted person who was willing to go the extra mile to help anyone who needed it. I was lucky to know him and he will be deeply missed. His family will be in my prayers.

Words cannot express how much Aaron Aviani will be missed by everyone that knew him. He was one of, if not thee kindest person I have ever met. His smile could light up a room! We had so many memories and I will cherish them forever. I hope he is in a better place, making angels smile! RIP AVIANI!

Aaron spoke to my classes and made me smarter everytime we had a conversation. He had intelligent hands and many, many athletes benefitted from his talents. I always loved the fact that his haircuts would change from week-to-week! Sometimes I wouln't even recognize him! He was always smiling and I will miss him a lot! The last time I saw him, he was returning to his pew from receiving Communion at St. Joseph's....and he gave me a big, exuberant hand wave!

Aaron was one of the nicest guy I ever met. I always considered him to be a great companion for everyone. I believed he could've been a great friend, great husband, and a great father. Aaron was the most friendly and most insightful guy I ever met. He always made you feel good about yourself and was an absolute blast to just talk to. He was a great listener and was always in tune. Whenever we went out he made sure I stayed loyal to my wife :) I will miss him eternally.

My deepest sympathy to Aaron's family at this time. I first met Aaron my sophmore year at USC when he became part of the Student Athletic Training family and continued as he was traveling with USC's track team and I was working as a graduate assistant at USF meeting on the road at various track meets. I will always remember Aaron's kind hearted nature and quick come backs. His athletic training friends will miss him greatly.

Words can't express the grief that comes from losing a loved one. How I regret not keeping in contact with Aaron over the last few years. As I look back at photos and letters, memories of his kindness and love come pouring back. Thank you Aaron for being one of the best friends I could ever hope for. Aaron would always pop in to visit us at Quantum whenever he came home to California. It was always great to see his smiling face. I remember kidding him about his 'accent' the last time he was here. He was a gentle and kind soul who will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

Our sincerest & deepest condolences go out to Aaron's family & friends. My brother and Aaron were very good childhood friends and I have many, many fond memories of being at the Aviani's home spending time with Aaron, Adine, their parents and grandparents. I hadn't seen Aaron in many years but remember him as a very sweet and caring boy. From what his friends and family have written about him and his dedication to his clients & friends, he must have been a very special man.

We pray his family & friends will find some comfort in knowing our thoughts and prayers are with them.

I too am in complete shock. I was a USC track athlete and got countless massages from Aaron. He always got us ready to run and brought a great sense of humor to everything he did. He always had a smile on his face and will be greatly missed.
