Resident of Livermore, CA.
Aaron Latkin, Born in Pittsburg, PA, died after a brief illness. In 1942, Aaron joined the Army as a combat engineer. His division liberated Ohrdruf concentration camp. In 1948 Aaron received a degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon Institute. He married Myra Davis in 1956. Aaron worked at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories.
Aaron was an avid tennis player, loved traveling and being outdoors, especially camping, hiking, skiing, and rollerblading. He was preceded in death by his brother Jack (Buzzy) Latkin. Aaron is survived by his wife Myra, sister Rosalyn Robin, son Josh and daughter-in-law Carolyn of Albion, CA, and their children, Brina and Alden, daughter-in-law Varanya, and great-granddaughters Gweneth and Isabel; and by his son Carl and daughter-in-law Amy Knowlton, of Columbia, MD, and their children, Noah and Sophia. There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Sierra Club.
