Adelia Viale

ADELIA VIALE Long time Livermore resident Adelia Viale died January 26, 2006 at Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton. She was 91. Adelia was born in Cordenons, Italy in 1914. She came to Livermore in 1932 and married Frank Viale in 1933. Frank's family owned Viale's Market. They were married 35 years when he passed away. Adelia worked in her younger years at Cresta Blanca Winery, Wente Winery, and the Veteran's Hospital. She loved to dance and she was a terrific cook. She traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States. She was a long time member of St. Michael's Parish and she belonged to Young Ladies Institute, Golden Friends and Senior Citizens. She was a very spirited and fun loving person who will be greatly missed by all who love her. She is survived by her two devoted daughters Rose (Charles) Gallagher and Marie (Bob) Bidinost both of Livermore; her four grandchildren Julie Gallagher (Robert Stear), Michael (Maite) Gallagher, Frank Motta, and Thomas Motta (Cindy Villareal), and her cherished great-granddaughters Amanda Gallagher Stear and Alexandra Gallagher. She also leaves behind a brother, Angelo Pizziol of Livermore. The rosary will be held at 7 pm at Callaghan's mortuary (viewing 4-8 pm) on January 30th. A celebration of Life Mass will be held at 11 am on January 31st at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Livermore. Donations may be made to the Heart Association and St. Michael's Education Fund.
