Resident of Concord, CA
Alan, born in Berkeley to Robert and Carol, was raised in Walnut Creek, graduated from Pleasant Hill High School and attended Diablo Valley College.
He leaves behind twin sister Joan, sisters Barbara (Steve), and Sarah; brothers Robert Jr. (Susannah), and Andy (Pam). He was a cherished Uncle Al to Aaron, Dustin, Shannon, Kelly, Kristin, Sarah K., Matt, Daniel, Caitlin and godfather to Dustin.
Alan lived simply, loved animals, and was generous, comedic, artistic and kind-hearted.
A memorial service to celebrate Alan's life will be held Sat. May 20, 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1924 Trinity Ave. Walnut Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to St. Paul's Church.

It is really sad to learn of your brother's passing. If he was anything like you, he was quite a guy. It is not possible for us to be at the service but we will keep you and your family in our prayers.
