PATRICIA REIS

I am late to write a memory of Andrew but feel compelled to do so. I just discovered his passing and wanted to express my sadness over his passing. He was a wonderful person and I feel blessed that he was able to do my taxes for many years. May he be resting in peace and may his family be well and at peace.

Words can not express the sadness that I feel when I think of his passing. I will never forget the last time our families were in Santa Cruz together. Your calm and easy going spirit made the day a great one for all of us. You will be missed! May God's loving grace be with those grieving especially Anika, Axel, Art, Carri, and Aaron. Rest in peace, Andrew.

When I first sat down with Andrew I immediately felt a sense of ease as though I had known him for years. Our conversations were never rushed and that was a testament of his patience. He was a man who I would characterize as approachable and his calm demeanor always contributed to a relaxed interaction. I am going to miss our conversations but more than that I will miss a man who possessed great integrity. May God bless you and your family.

As Andrew's long time friend I am extremely saddened to hear of his recent passing. Andrew and I spent a great deal of time together growing up as kids in the same neighborhood. All throughout school we were seated next to each other thanks to alphabetical seating. He was a very smart in all subjects especially math. I may have copied his homework once or twice.

I have many fond memories of Andrew. As young boys we always finished our homework as fast as possible so we could play soccer, baseball run down or whiffle ball together almost everyday after school. Catechism at Good Shepard Church, fun sleepovers, collecting baseball cards and watching sports and MTV are also dear memories I will hold in my heart. What I especially remember and will miss about Andrew is his light hearted sense of humor.

With a heavy heart my sincerest condolences go out to his entire family. Unfortunately I am out of state and unable to attend the services. However, I will be thinking and praying for Andrew and his family. God bless.

We are so saddened to learn of Andrew's passing away. He was a good friend in addition to our tax man. His pleasant demeanor was such a great experience to enjoy. Our prayers go out to his family and friends who he shared his life with.

We are so sad to hear of the passing of cousin Andrew. Many great memories of him. Monica remembers him well from her dad's (Benny) soccer teams. He was also friends with her brother Anthony and came to their house often. I (Neal) remember him locking me, Brian, and Aaron in a closet at Uncle Red's house when we were kids! When he bought his house in Martinez, I put in his floors (back when I did hardwood flooring). He was really chill and cool to hang out with. Sending our sincere love and prayers to Anika and the entire Alatorre family.

I grew up looking up to Andrew. Trying to play soccer because he was so great at it, comparing notes on baseball, and him offering me big brother-style advice on the lost art form of how to call girls on the phone.

It was a privilege to sleep over his house when I was eleven or twelve. He'd have a box of records that made the rounds between he, his friend Darrell A. and his friend Mike G. I wanted to listen to the same music as he did and I was exposed to so much that wouldn't have otherwise hit my radar. Music I still love today like Zapp, The Gap Band, Con Funk Shun, Teena Marie, The Time, and Kool & The Gang. I will always treasure those days and the invaluable education that came with it.

Andrew grew into a great and consistent man who commanded respect. He was my tax guy and my friends' tax guy. More than that, though, he'll always be the perfect example of how to be a great father to a son. I admired that most of all.

I'm grateful for the times we had together in Tahoe as kids and more recently the days in Santa Cruz. I love that the small families we built became close and our kids get along as cousins - - and even after a gap in time, they can always pick up right where they left off.

I'm grateful for the 52 years I had with him though 52 years is not enough. God bless Anika, Axel, Carri and Art, and Aaron. May God give you strength.

Andrew was a kind, caring person. Always smiling, he will be missed by many. My prayers go out to his family and my dear friends Art and Carrie there are no words to express how sad this makes me. He will always be remembered for his kind caring ways and the strength he showed in the pain he endured. May he now sit with those in his family that have proceded him in death. God bless you Andrew.
