Angelo "Teet" Buscaglia
June 2, 1916 - Oct 5, 2011
Resident of Concord
Teet passed away Wednesday October 5th at the age of 95.
He was born in San Francisco on June 2, 1916 to Italian immigrants John and Angelina Buscaglia. The family then moved to Concord where Teet has lived for more than 90 years. Teet lived a good life where his passions were vegetable gardening, and spending time with his son, family and friends. He enjoyed trips to Reno, rooting for the Giants and 49ers.
Teet worked for the Avon Refinery for over 38 years. A veteran of World War II he served in the Pacific Region where he was awarded a bronze star.
Teet is lovingly survived by his son Ron; sister in law Jeanette Buscaglia; nieces and nephews Dick (Cheryl) Buscaglia, Barbara (Frank) Strehlitz, Bob (Susan) Buscaglia, Adele Buscaglia Bales (Dave Hunter), Phil (Donna) Buscaglia, Susan (Chuck) Levy, Mary and Katie Buscaglia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; his parents John and Angelina Buscaglia; brothers John (Ann), Cookie (Helen), Mario (Eva), Babe; sister Nina Buscaglia and nephew Jimmy.
Special thanks to the staff at Jacob's Home For the Elderly, Kaiser Walnut Creek Hospital and Hospice of the East Bay.
Visitation from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday October 11th Moore's Mission Funeral Home, 1390 Monument Blvd., Concord. A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday October 12 St. Bonaventure's Church, 5562 Clayton Road, Concord, followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette.
The family requests that any donations in Teet's memory be made to the Respite Inn, 906 Lee Lane, Concord, CA 94518 or to Hospice of the East Bay, 3470 Buskirk Avenue, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
