The sun shines just as bright
The moon glowes just as long
The rain falls just a bit softer
The wind kisses just a bit more
All the comfort of those who share in today
Still I miss you my dear friend

I am so shocked and sorry to learn of this. I did know Barbara and she lived 2 doors away form my parents in the Dutro's old house. I had been living in Oregon since 1975 so did not know Barbara until my father became ill. Barbara was a real saint in visiting my parents, looking in on them and keeping my sister and me informed. She had lost her own husband to prostate cancer just a year earlier. After my mother moved to Pleasanton to be closer to my sister and her family Barbara continued to stay in touch and even came out and had lunch with my mom several times. I think Barbara was younger than I am and appeared in very good health. I wonder what happened?
Thanks for sharing. I will let my sister know too.

Barbara was a great friend in High School. I am so sorry for your loss but she is at peace now with God. I was so glad to see her last year at the picnic in Alameda. She will be missed by all.

Memories of Barbara will always remain in our hearts. She delivered a beautiful eulogy for our Father 6 years ago, out of the goodness of her heart. It meant so much to our family to have her speak, and she did so very willingly.
Her smile and positive attitude brought happiness to all whom she touched.
Many blessings go out to her family.
God Bless—The Reichmuth Family

Dearest Barb, you will be missed greatly by your SLHS Class of 67 classmates. You were wonderful about organizing and keeping tabs on so many classmates. The events and reunions were always the best. I remember you from high school as being bright, active and always had a smile for everyone. May the light of our Lord be shining on you as you stand by his side. May He hold your family in his hand during this time of loss. My deepest sympathies to your mother, brother, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

nana words can never describe how much i miss you or how thankful i am for everything you have done for me these past 27 years you never gave up on me even when everyone else did and never judged me for any of the bad things i did in my life you had faith in me and helped me want to be a better person. you are and forever will be the strongest person i know and made me want to be a better person. you became the mother figure in my life instead of grandma and i am so blessed to have been able to have the close relationship we had. I talked to you about everything in my life good or bad and you were always there to listen and give advice. i am also so grateful that my daughters were able to spend as much time as they did with you and you were able to be there to help amanda through such a scary time in her life, through your experiences you were able to help her understand what was going on with her in ways i would have never been able to. i know that even though you are no longer here with us you will forever be watching over us i love you and happy birthday from me,amanda, ashley, and alexis

Words cannot express the love and admiration I have for you Mrs. Roe. You have been a wonderful "second mom", mentor, and friend. I am thankful for the times we shared together. You were always there for me and I will miss you terribly. Today, on your birthday, and everyday, I will think of you and remember the positive influence you were in my life. I love you! Veronica

I am thinking about you on your Birthday, today. I will miss you so much, Barbara. You have been such a special friend to me for so many years. I will especially miss you sitting in the front pew with me at 7:30am Mass every Sunday. You were a great person and I know you have gotten a high place in Heaven. I can't thank you enough for taking care of my house when I was away. You always did such a good job sorting that mail for me! Yes, I will truly miss you, Barbara, for so many reasons.
