Bernardo Albano Obituary

Born on December 18, 1942 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Dan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 21, 2008 at his residence in Fremont, CA. He is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Dan is survived by his wife of 35 years, Victoria "Vicky" and only daughter, Catherine, brother Deo, sisters Lena and Chita, and their husbands Mike and Carl, his sister in-law Daling, nieces and nephews, Melinda, Pamela, Boying, Marsha, George and Jun-Jun, and their spouses Ron, Janeth, Raul, Kathleen and Janette, and great nephews & niece Dominic, Mason, Jericho and Ciara. Dan's athletic ability merited him the title "Mr. Basketball" of the Inter-Scholastic Games, while earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce at Northwestern University in Laoag. After graduating college, Dan became the Chief of Police in his hometown. In 1973, Dan immigrated to the United States and worked as a Quality Control Inspector in the Food Supplement industry for almost 30 years. He was a resident of Alameda County for 32 years. Dan was a strong and generous man who lived and liked everything large, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation and rosary will be held (Thursday, April 24th) from 4pm - 8:30pm at Sorensen Brothers Funeral Home 1140 "B" Street, Hayward, CA. The mass will be (Friday, April 25th) at 1 pm St. Anne's Church: 32223 Cabello St, in Union City and the Burial Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 26th @ 10 am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery: 1051 Harder Road in Hayward, CA.
