Bernice Ralls passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 20 at age 81.
Bernice was born in Bend Oregon to parents Jessie and Joel Slater. She loved God, family, friends, community, fishing and horses. She was a devoted Mother to Ed Flynton and Deana Dowell, and devoted mother in-law to Lori Flynton and Duke Dowell.
Bernice is proud Grandmother of Brian, Jason, Brandon, Zachary and Douglas. Great Grandmother to Hunter, Beckett and Tenley. Bernice worked at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley for 15 years. She loved her role as Respiratory Therapist and served her patients well. Bernice married the love of her life Gordon C. Ralls Jr September 1985. Gordon and Bernice loved to travel, go to church and spend time with family. Bernice adored Gordon's children and grandchildren, she enjoyed spending time with them and their families. Sons Matt, Mike, daughters Carol, Betsy and daughter in-law Tina. Grandchildren Stephen, Amanda, Caelyn, Diana, Clayton and Daniel.
Bernice lost her beloved Gordon in March 2020, she kept her strong faith in God and love for Gordon alive through that difficult time.
In the last years of Bernice's life she was cared for by Fern Osotanu and Teresia Dinau they filled her life with laughter, love and tender care.
Services for Bernice Ralls will be held on April 2 11:00 am at Oakmont Memorial Park and Mortuary, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette.
