Robert M Archibald ("Bob" or "P.A"), of Danville/Oakdale, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2016 surrounded by his beloved family.
Bob was born in Oakland, CA, to Jasper and Bernice Archibald, on March 1 1943. He attended school at San Ramon Valley High School, where he met his wife Susan Archibald (Pearson). The two married on December 9th 1961, and went on to have three daughters, Debbie, Amy and Kim. Danville was home for 69 years, until he moved four years ago to Oakdale to join his daughter Debbie and her husband, Mike, on their 10 acre horse ranch.
Bob was a longtime Owner Operator/Broker of Archibald Trucking and was dedicated to having the most pristine trucks in town. "Archibald Orange", a shade of orange trademarked by Bob and friends, could be seen around Danville on all his trucks and vehicles, including his personal orange bronco with the license plate "Mr. Clean". He was also the successful founder of Danville Decorative Rock.
Preceded in death by his devoted wife, Susan Archibald, Bob is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Nelson (Mike), Amy Slaughter (Dave), Kim Donohue (Chris), his 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, sisters Karen Davis & Robbin Eudy and many nieces & nephews.
Bobs zest for life, family, friends, good stories and good food will forever be missed but never forgotten.
Funeral services will be held Feb 6th @10 am at CPC 222 W. El Pintado Rd Danville 94526

Bob was one of my best friends in high school although have not seen him since one of the HS reunions some years back. Iwas shocked to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family
