My family and I are truly saddened and want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. God only knows why Brendan's life was taken so suddenly. Life is precious. What i find beautiful about it is that each of us truly is a spirit of light. when life here on earth ends the spirit of the beloved lives on in the hearts of those who remain behind. I lost a precious beloved 14 year old on december 10th 2008. knowing that his spirit lives on in those who loved him is a comfort. when grief comes let it come. honor it and honor the place in your heart and life that only Brendan could fill. Let that be a reminder of how precious we all are. Love while you can for love is the greatest gift of all.

I am still so saddened to hear about Brendan's passing. I went to corpus christi and O'dowd with Brendan, even though I haven't spoken to him in years, memories of my time with him remain so vividly. We were in the same horrible french classes at Corpus :) He always made me laugh and I always remember him being a friend to everyone. It was impossible not to like him. I can't say how sorry I am to his family. I hope you can take comfort that he touched so many lives, including mine. I'm also so sorry I will not be able to attend his funeral and pay my proper respects~

Brendan has a special place in my heart and in our family. I can still hear his laughter and his smile will live on in my memory forever. My fondest memories of Brendan were spending summers together at our grandparents house in Indiana. I can't believe he's gone. My heart aches for everyone. Love and prayers for all of you.

On Thanksgiving Day, Bob and I were reminiscing about our 1998 trip through Europe and laughed at the memory of randomly running into Brendan in Pairs. We were in a crowd of thousands who had gathered to watch the US play Germany in the World Cup. Who would have thought Bob would run into his neighbor half way around the world in a crowd of thousands! What a coincidence...just as it was to think of him on the day he passed. Our hearts go out to the Pedder family...

I met Brendan at the Lair of the Bear and on occasion got together with him and others after our summers in Pinecrest. I have never known Brendan to lose his cool. Brendan was always kind and in tune with who he was around. Almost all of my memories of Brendan are of him in good spirits. When tired or faced with an unfavorable task, Brendan always did what he needed to do and never complained or took it out on anybody else. If all of the world's inhabitants had the demeanor of Brendan, the world would be a much brighter place. I am sorry to share these thoughts with his passing.

To the Pedder family: I went to school with Brendan from the sixth grade through high school, and I have always thought that Brendan was a truly kind and special person. I will never forget him. This was a very touching obituary. I am so sorry for your loss, and I am also very sorry I will be unable to attend the funeral to pay my respects properly.

Where do you start? I noticed B before he noticed me. I was wondering who was the dude at NBC with more cool than me? Once we crossed paths it was over: EVERYTHING IN COMMON. It was through B that I made so many friends at the network. Will never forget how he opened his home to me in the Village and schooled me on $10 meals in N.Y. Will always remember kicking it on the rooftop of his apartment. Gravity Games (Ohio), Preakness, NBA on NBC. I wanted to work to be around my friend. I could go on forever. Brendan, you're the real deal and will never be forgotten. Until I see you again my friend. EARLY!

Brendan was the sunshine of our family. He was one of a kind, and had one of the biggest most loving hearts around. I will cherish all the memories we had growing up. The Pedder's would get very loud at family gatherings, and it would be impossible at times to get a word in edge wise. But when Brendan spoke, everyone stopped and listened. His kind heart, gentle demeanor, sense of humor, and loving soul will be missed. Brendan, you will forever hold a special place in my heart! I love you BP! <3

Brendan was indeed a character and was always telling lengthy stories on whatever crossed his mind....He had a great heart and will be missed by all of us....I always remember him opening gifts and taking for ever with a story behind each package and when going to restaurants to celebrate birthdays or holidays he would be the last to order and would choose the most expensive entree....He was always present when my mom needed something done in her later years with never a thought he didn't have time....We Love You Brendan....Uncle Jim
