Charles Campbell Obituary

Charles E. Campbell Nov. 30, 1916 - Feb. 16, 2004 Charles Campbell passed away February 16, 2004 at the age of 87. He was born in Arkansas and resided in Atchison Village in Richmond for 46 years. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Reba Campbell. Charles was a loving father and father-in-law to David and JoEllen Campbell of San Pablo, Tom and Charlene Irvin of Placerville, and Tom and Sharon Campbell of Chester, California; a loving grandfather to Davey Campbell, Chris Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Suzan Landes, Joni Irvin, Kristy Lee, Lynn Behrendt, Teri Balestrie, and 10 great-grandchildren. More than anything, Charles enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play baseball, and never missed a game. Charles was very proud of his vegetable and flower gardens and the chickens he raised. Anyone visiting him always left his home with a platter full of his tomatoes and a carton full of fresh eggs. Charles retired from De Sota Paint Company in Berkeley, California after 35 years of service. We will love and miss him dearly. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his wonderful life on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Chapel, Wilson & Kratzer, 455 24th Street, Richmond with a burial service at Rolling Hills Memorial Park.
