CHARLOTTE RITA MARTINEZ Of Newark entered into rest June 19, 2006. Loving mother to Matiana. Adoring grandmother to Larry, John, Colleen, and Penny. Cherished great grandmother to Sophia, Christina, Nicole, Johnny, and Maddy. Beloved sister to Charles and his wife Phyliss. Dear aunt to Patricia and great nieces and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Martinez. Charlotte was born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 15, 1926. She was 80 years old. A longtime resident of Newark, Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8PM at Fremont Chapel of the Roses 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont with a Vigil Service at 7PM. A funeral mass will be Friday 10AM at St. Edwards Catholic Church 5788 Thornton Ave., Newark. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
