David M. Pouliot

Cherished brother, father and grandfather who will be missed every moment of every day. Dave grew up in the East Bay Area where he was an All American Basketball player at Bishop O'Dowd High School Class of '65 who went on to the University of Santa Clara on both academic and athletic scholarships Class of '69. Dave served the San Leandro Police Department from 1970-1988 and then earned his law degree in 1992 from Golden Gate University.
Dave was a mountaineer, backpacker, white water rafter, world traveler, and photographer who served as a living reference book and road atlas to his kids.
Dave was predeceased by his wonderful parents Gilbert and Eleanor, daughter Angela and granddaughter Mikenna. He is survived by his daughter Rochelle (John) Bub, grandchildren Dylan and Alyssa, Aunt Cecelia Barthel and his brother and lifelong friend Donald (Catherine) Pouliot.
Dave's ashes will be scattered at the Grand Canyon.

Though I arrived at O'Dowd in 1966, I was well aware of Dave's accomplishments and was thankful to have him as a member of the SLPD, in my home town.
