David entered the Lord's Kingdom Thursday February 25, 2016. He was born in Fremont, California to Antonio and Consuelo Resendez, David was the second of four children, he grew up in Fremont and attended Irvington High School, class of 1979. Received a 4 year degree from California State University, Sacramento.
David is preceded in death by his father Antonio Acuna Resendez, Jr.
David is survived his son Adrian Resendez, his mother Consuelo, brother Dimas Resendez, sisters Alma Schmid (Rick), Celia Goodwin(Thomas), and adopted sister Yvette Mata Camera. A special nephew to Maria "Cuca" Rodriguez and Palmira Salazar of Corpus Christi, Texas. A wonderful uncle to Tommy and Christopher Goodwin. David has many family members in Corpus Christi, Texas, Morelia Cointzio Michoacan Mexico, Arizona, and California who will truly miss him.
David enlisted in the United States Army, August 1987 and was honorably discharged on the 12th day of September 1995 with the rank of CPL/E4. He is currently a member of the American Legion, Unit#837, Niles, California.
David was employed by the Fremont Unified School District, and Great America, and he will be missed by many friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a 4:00 - 8:00pm visitation with a 7:00pm rosary on Tuesday, March 1st at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA. A 10:00am Mass of Resurrection will be held Wednesday, March 2nd at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 41933 Blacow Rd, Fremont, CA.
Interment will follow the Mass at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544
