Dennis Domenic DeBenedictis
April 11, 1942-June 5, 2012
Resident of Danville
Dennis Domenic DeBenedictis, a 37 year resident of Danville, CA passed away at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek. His sense of humor and attention to detail will be missed by his family and many friends.
Dennis was born and raised in Oakland, attended Castlemont High School, and continued his schooling at SJSU for four years. He served in the Army for two years, stationed in Georgia, Alaska and Oakland, California.
Dennis worked in the automatic transmission repair business for Hollidge Hydramatic Service, Inc in Oakland for thirty years. As the Manager of the shop, he loved working with the customers.
Dennis was a member of the Bay Area Roadster Club for forty-two years, building a 1923 T Bucket and in later years a 1929 Roadster, putting many miles on both cars. His other love was restoring 1935 to 1938 antique toy trucks.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of 45 years, daughter Kristi and her fiance Bryan Rivers, nephew Brad Moniz and great niece Lia Moniz.
A memorial mass will be held at St Isidore Church in Danville on June 21 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Dennis' honor to one of the following: American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.

I always remember Dennis as truly one of the good guys ...from high school on he was a gentleman and interesting guy. Had the coolest 57 Chevy 2 door hardtop around. He will be missed

So sorry for your loss. I remember Denny while you were dating. You were part of my childhood and the memories are rich and full. In the present, Debbie shared moments of you and Denny often. Even pictures. I pray that comfort and peace will embrace you and your family.
