Don Addis Obituary

DON ADDIS Don passed away on January 11th surrounded by his family. Don was born in Tonopah, Nevada in 1942, son of the late Mary Zimmer, the late Alfred F. Addis, and the late stepfather Bernie Zimmer. Don was a long time resident of San Carlos. He was a member of Local 39 for 35 years, and worked as Assistant Chief Engineer in San Francisco. Don is survived and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Pat of 43 years; his loving son Steve Addis; his loving daughter Danielle Murphy and her husband Richie Murphy; his grandchildren Gavin and Landon Murphy; his brothers Ed Addis, Bernie Zimmer (Jan); his sisters: the late Judy Constantinos (Gus), Linda Glover (Paul), Keri Barrett (Tim) and Cyndy Zimmer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he adored very much. Fondly known as "Grandpa" to his two grandchildren, he was a shining example of what it means to love your family. Not only was he a provider, he was a man with a big heart and made many sacrifices for his wife and children. He will be remembered for his ability to work hard, his caring personality, and fun loving sense of humor. Please join his family and friends for a celebration of his life. Pat, Danielle and Steve,
