Don Costa was born on November 6, 1932 in Oakland, California, the third child born to John and Ethel Costa. He graudated from Oakland Tech in 1950. He died as a result of a massive heart attack on August 9, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Costa, Christine, Deanna, Stefanie, Lizzie Flores and Ricky Love; Jeanette, Dennis, Stephen and Keith Wallace; Our loving and magical godchild Joey Nukalatati-Kirkey; Kathryn, Mike, Donnie and Kimberly Watson; Mike, Eva, Joe, Trina, Megyn and Cash Rodriguez; Connie McDonald, Deborah and McKenzie Fullerton; Inez, Doug, Daniel, Andrew and Chris Barrious; Yolanda Farber and family, and many other in-laws, nieces and nephews. His best friend and best man, Jeff Winn was a much loved brother to him. Don worked at several career paths including UPS, elected official of Local 70 Teamsters, and Transportation Management. He retired at age 50. Retirement for Don meant quality time devoted to family and friends. He surprised everyone by the quantity of trivia and facts about a multitude of subjects. He was an avid reader and a world travelers. His favorite times were family functions where he could catch up with the activities of his grandchildren. His lunch buddies Jeff Winn, John Mihovilovich and Mitch Horachek. In lieu of flowers it is respectfully requested that donations may be made to Holy Names High School in Oakland, Children's Hospital (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) in Oakland or your favorite charity.
