We haven’t seen each other for a really long time, but I will always remember your mom’s terrific laugh as she played with her Siamese cats. She had to put up with us brats running through her house, growing up on Alma Avenue in the 60’s. We had a lot of fun sitting in your kitchen, eating ice cream. Our folks have passed too, and even though we miss them every day, we can smile about where we came from, and the lives they gave us.

My sympathies go to you during this time of loss. Your Mother/Grandmother welcomed me into her life at a special time in my life. I enjoyed her wit, her spirit, her sense of style, her beautiful garden, her recipes. I enjoyed her appreciation of music and good food. She was always welcoming, always ready with a kind word, always ready with a big kiss. I will miss her.

I didn't know Elfrieda well but always enjoyed visiting with her on the occassions when I would see her. I wish I had known her better...She always looked so stylish, I really admired that at her age she still took great pride in her appearance. She sure had spunk and spirit. My last conversation with her was right after she had returned from her vacation in Palm Desert in October with her girls, and she had clearly had a great time, especially shopping! I know there are no words that can make her passing any easier, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I hope your wonderful memories of your mother/grandmother bring you some peace and solace at this time of great loss.
