Gloria Missaggia Obituary

Resident of Albany
Resident of Albany, CA, and raised in El Cerrito. After graduating from El Cerrito High School, she began her long career at the Richmond Unified School District. Gloria passed away unexpectedly. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 18 years, Sante, and her loving children Gina (Brit Johnson) Brusatori, and Brian (Judy) Brusatori, and step-children Angie (Leon Baldridge) Missaggia, and Tony (Desire) Missaggia. Gloria was a dear Nana to Anthony (Melina), Kookie, Michelle, Yvette (Jesus), Joseph, Kayla, Christopher, Logan, Kelsi, and Lucia. She enjoyed being a Bisnonna to Yelitza and Maximo. Gloria was blessed with friends throughout her life, and will be especially missed by Loisann (John) Vittone. She loved to travel, and kept in touch with her Italian relatives. Gloria was a member of several organizations, including Oakland Children's Hospital, and the Fratellanza Women's Social Club. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 21 at St. Ambrose Church, Berkeley, beginning at 5pm. Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 7pm. Celebration of Life will be held at St. Ambrose Church on Monday, May 22 at 10 am, followed by a luncheon at the Fratellanza Club in Oakland. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Gloria's name to the Oakland Children's Hospital (Acorn Branch), Chaparral House (where she received care), or Fratellanza Women's Social Club Scholarship Fund.
