Inez Malone Obituary

Inez Clara Louise Carlson Malone Inez Malone, a Carson City, NV resident since 1990, passed away Nov. 10, at Carson Convalescent Center in Carson City. Mrs. Malone was born Inez Clara Lousie Carlson to Henry Albert and Augusta Amelia Nordquist Carlson July 30, 1912 in Omaha, NE. She was raised on a farm near Red Oak, IA and graduated from Red Oak High School in 1931. She was employed as a legal secretary until 1937 when she moved to Pittsburg, CA to help her sister care for her new born nephew. She later became employed by Johns-Manville as a secretary where she worked until her retirement in 1974. She married Ronald James Malone of Pittsburg (formerly of Canonsburg, PA) on May 29, 1941 in Reno, NV. She continued to reside in Pittsburg until 1976 when she moved to Vacaville, CA. Mrs. Malone was a member of Esther Chapter No. 3, Order of Eastern Star in Carson City, having previously been a member of the Pittsburg, CA Chapter. She was also a member of the Methodist Churches in Red Oak, Pittsburg, Vacaville and Carson City. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Carl Malone of Los Angeles; son, Chuck, and daughter-in-law, Lynn Malone, of Carson City; sister-in-law, Florence Carlson of Apple Valley, CA; brother-in-law, Robert Malone of Seminole, FL; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; grand nieces and grand nephews. Visitation will be at 12:00 noon, followed by a 1:00pm graveside service Saturday, Nov. 19, at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette, CA.
