Ivo Galli Obituary
Oct. 14, 1923-June 29, 2013
Resident of Livermore
Ivo 89 passed away peacefully after a short battle with an illness.
Born to Andrea and Maria Galli in Oakland, CA where he grew up.
He was preceded by his loving wife, Lydia Marie Galli; they were married for 62 Years.
He is survived by his Daughters; Linda (Tom) Galli-Oneto; Christine (Louis) Ventimiglio; Son, Tony (Cheryl) Galli.
Grandfather of Eric Brown, Monica (Rick) Clarke; Nicholas and Paul Ventimiglio, Christine Ferraris and Elizabeth Galli. He is the beloved great grandfather of Logan and Gavin Clarke.
Ivo was preceded by his brother Dino Galli and sister, Elia Bellandi; brother-in-laws; Sandrino Bellandi and Bud Milani, sister-in-law Alda Milani.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Eleanor Galli.
Ivo and Lydia moved to Niles, (Fremont), CA in the early 1960's from Oakland CA to raise their three children. Ivo was a partner in the Oakland Scavenger Company for 40 years. He and Lydia enjoyed many trips around the United States and abroad, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Alaska and the Panama Canal.
Ivo and Lydia retired to O'Connor Woods retirement home until Lydia's passing. He then relocated to Heritage Estates in Livermore, CA.
Ivo was a quiet man, reserved and proud of his Italian heritage, his family and the life he and Lydia had made together with their family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care he received the past 6 months from Mericel, Myra and Lalaine.
A private memorial will be held.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to Hope Hospice 6377 Clark Ave. Dublin, CA 94568.

We learned of Ivo's passing after his funeral. We are so sorry four your loss. He was a wonderful man with the gift to bring joy and laughter to all those around him. I felt like he was my uncle, too. I will miss him.

Ivo was a childhood best friend of my husband, Carl Marino. Through the years, I grew to know and love both Lydia and Ivo. He was a really great friend.
