Resident of Castro Valley
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Saturday in Oakland. She lived in Castro Valley with her loving husband Edward Cavey for 57 years until his death in 2008. Devoted mother of France Markoff, Helene Holman, and Michael Cavey. Also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jacqueline was the 7th of 8 daughters of Omer and Alma Belanger in Paquetville, Quebec. She and Edward were married in Saint Venant, Quebec in August 1951. The family moved to California in 1957. Jacqueline worked as a loyal employee of Safeway Stores for 22 years until her retirement in 1983.
She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial mass on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3433 Somerset Avenue, Castro Valley.
