James Figueroa Obituary

Resident of Hayward, CA
James went on to be with the Lord at the age of 74 blessed years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Priscilla Figueroa, his two children, Laura Jean Figueroa and James R. Figueroa Jr, and his three grandchildren: Robin D. Gutierres Jr, Alexandra B. Figueroa, and James R. Figueroa III.
Jim was born in Oakland, CA and was raised in Russell City, Hayward. He lived there with his parents, the late Faustino Figueroa and Rachel Figueroa, along with his siblings: the late Phyllis Guillardo (the late Don), the late Gilbert Figueroa (Rose), Sister Dora Hernandez (the late George), Faustino Figueroa Jr. (Rita), and Lawrence J. Figueroa (Ruth). He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Jim was a hardworking man who loved God, Life, Family and Friends and being. a part of his church community at the Union City Apostolic Church, thrived on helping others, and dedicated his time to helping any child in need. Family was his foundation, his motto, his life. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be held at the Union City Apostolic Church at 33700 Alvarado Niles Road in Union City, CA. on Friday, Feb. 17, at 7:00pm, and Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at 10:00am. Interment will be following at Chapel of the Chimes at 12:00 noon. If you need additional info, please call 510-825-5611.
